Frequently Asked Questions

Woodstock provides investment management services to individuals and families, pension profit-sharing plans, trusts, estates, charitable organizations, corporations, and other business entities. Most Woodstock clients are high-net-worth individuals or trusts.

Yes. Woodstock is a fiduciary and registered investment advisor (RIA) and is legally and ethically obligated to act in the best interest of its clients.

A fiduciary is a financial advisor who is legally required to act in a client’s best interest at all times. This means our advice must be objective, transparent, and aligned solely with your goals.

We suggest a portfolio minimum of $1,000,000; however, this minimum can be waived in certain circumstances.

Yes. In many cases, we manage a portion of a client’s overall assets. The scope of our engagement depends on your specific circumstances and will be discussed as part of the planning process with your portfolio manager.

We begin with a conversation about your goals, priorities, and financial circumstances. Based on those discussions, your portfolio manager develops an investment strategy tailored to your objectives and oversees the ongoing management of your portfolio.

Our approach generally focuses on high-quality growth equities and debt securities, aligned with your investment objectives and risk profile.

We typically manage portfolios on a discretionary basis, which means we make investment decisions on your behalf. You may place reasonable restrictions on that authority.

We also offer non-discretionary services, where we provide recommendations and you decide whether to implement them.

For more detail, please review “Investment Authority” in our Form CRS.

We begin with asset allocation, aligning each portfolio with your risk tolerance and long-term objectives. Portfolios are diversified across multiple sectors and invested in a focused group of high-quality companies and securities. We monitor holdings closely and adjust when appropriate.

Woodstock is a fee-only registered investment advisor. We accept no commissions for the sale of securities or products. We charge asset-based fees and performance-based fees.

For more detail, please review “What Fees Will I Pay?” in our Form CRS.
